There are two basic ways to classify overloaded connector products:

1. According to the shape structure: circular and rectangular;

2. According to working frequency: low frequency and high frequency.

Common types of heavy-duty connectors are: HE series - most conventional standard connectors, HEE series - high density connectors, HDD series - ultra-high density connectors, HD series - ultra-high density connectors, HA series - small standard connectors, HK series - combination connectors, HSB series - 35A high current type. Connector, HQ series - compact small volume plug, etc.

Rectangular heavy-duty connector is the most commonly used in non-standard automation industry. Cold-pressed terminal type heavy-duty connector is not recommended in the selection. Please choose screw-fixed connection mode. This is equivalent to using heavy-duty connectors as terminals, which are very convenient to change wiring; cold-pressed terminal type wiring needs to use cold-press pliers, needle pusher to put terminals in, needle withdrawer to take terminals out, when there is no such auxiliary tools, there is no way to change wiring.

In use, we must not arrange AC and DC in one connector, and AC and DC do not use the same type of connector as the number of pins, so that we can avoid the fatal risk of AC and DC mixing.

In addition to ensuring that the current has a certain reserve, but also in the number of needles to make reservations. For example, three-phase motors need to choose four-pin connectors with grounding, and if there are brake wires, two more pins are needed.

Individual connectors are arranged according to the corresponding function or component as far as possible, although more connectors may be used in this way, which can save the time of hardware selection and drawing design, and the wiring process is not easy to confuse.

Connectors for input and output are selected according to eight points per byte, and external power supply is configured. Therefore, two power supply lines are needed for every eight points. The power supply for input and output must be separated, which I mentioned in the resource allocation. Eight points require twelve-pin connectors, and sixteen points require twenty-four-pin connectors.

Usually, we choose a connector with 24 needles at most, and don't let the number of needles be too large; at least four needles, too little is a little wasteful.

When using modular connectors, we are forced to use cold-pressed terminals. At this time, we need to connect all cold-pressed terminals, even if they are not used, so as to prevent the subsequent use of tools to connect.

When there are more than one connector of the same type with the same needle number in the same place, we should choose the connector with coding, make use of the coding of the connecting machine to prevent stupidity and avoid the mixing of connectors. Of course, the price of such connectors is not low, and only when necessary, they can be used again. Also keep in mind that there are two kinds of anti-stalk coding, one is that the connector itself can not change the coding, which is high security, but once the purchase error can only be re-purchased; the other is that it can be freely coded, more flexible, this need to do a good job of coding according to the number of connectors, and the coding pin fixed solid.
